Memorial Lutheran Church

The mission of Memorial Lutheran Church includes reaching out to our community both locally and around the world. Our mission teams to Peru has helped with earthquake recovery, led Bible studies, Vacation Bible School, and formed relationships with the people of the area. In the past, we have also sent several teams to New Orleans to assist with hurricane relief and worked with Habitat for Humanity on building a home here in Sioux Falls. We now have a mission connection right here in South Dakota at the Rosebud Reservation. Working with Pastor Utecht, we continue to join with the community and work on a variety of building maintenance projects, lead Vacation Bible School, and form relationships.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord  saying, "Whom shall I send? And who  will go for us?" And I said " Here am I, Send me!"   Isaiah 6:8(NIV)

Saludos en el Nombre de JesusCristo:
Pastor Herb and Markie have shared they are seeking another place to worship. The current worship house is along a main road that is very noisy and not well accessible for a majority of the people they are trying to reach. They ask our congregation to pray specifically for a first floor building, near to a bus station, and away from a main street.
The mission field will soon have 2 more missionaries added to their team. Pastor Eddie and Melissa Hosch, III, along with their children Alexandria and Joseph, will arrive in December/January to help plant  a church north of San Borja. They are currently fundraising and in language school. Also joining the team is Levi Karth who will assist Caitlin and Pastor Gale in La Victoria at Castillo Fuerte, the Mercy House. Levi is also in language school  and will be arriving this winter.
Memorial Lutheran has been ask to send a team to Los Olivos, Peru, in January to serve alongside Pastor Herb and Markie. If you have questions about the logistics of the short term trip, please contact Pastor Aaron.

                         Dios te bendiga,
                         Dave and Susie Van Dyke
